Men’s Basketball Remains Perfect

  • Junior Barrett Meyer led men’s basketball with 16 points in their 67-58 win over Mt. St. Joseph last night. With this win they hold a two-game win over Hanover College in the race for the HCAC title. This win also helped the men remain unblemished at home as they are now 12-0. Other notables were juniors Brandon Rash 15 points and Spurlin with eight points and eight rebounds.
  • Come out on Saturday to support seniors Chris Owens and Michael Stone as they are honored prior to tip-off. Saturday is also Coaches vs. Cancer where there will be door prizes, games, contests, and a silent auction with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Field Hockey Honors

  • Congrats to senior Laura Hammer for her 14 defensive saves during her four-year career, putting her first in the category.  First-year Sara Aschbacher also made her mark this season as well with 224 saves, ranking her first among Transy goalkeepers for single-season saves. Transy will be joining the Southern Athletic Association next season for field hockey.

Track and Field Record

  • Last Saturday in the Raven Indoor Invitational senior Lucy Wright set a new school record in the weight throw with 10.8 meters.  Other notables in the meet were fellow senior Betsey Heines with a personal record in the 5K with a time of 19:22.73. Senior April Meyers also set a personal record in the 800 meter run.  On the men’s side, first-year Chip Clark set personal records in the 60 meter hurdles, in the long jump, and the 200 meter run. Junior Daniel Ficker, sophomore Mason Williams, and first-year Ben Lyvers also set personal records.
